WISE 201 - Foundations in Development for Women in STEM (3 credits) 

This course equips WiSE students with skills needed to persist and thrive in their chosen STEM major at Iowa State and beyond. Students explore experiences of  women leaders in STEM fields, engage with peers across STEM fields, and develop community in small groups with peer leaders. This course also fulfills the U.S. Diversity requirement.

WISE 307- Women in Science and Engineering (3 credits) 

Cross-listed with BIOL and WGS. The interrelationships of women and science and engineering examined from historical, sociological, philosophical, and biological perspectives.

WISE 401x - Life After Graduation (1 credit) AKA "How to Adult"

Overview of financial and professional skills that will prepare you for success in your postgraduate STEM journey. Exploring opportunities that may lead to your life and career purpose in STEM. Establishing a diverse professional network, identifying mentors, and navigating STEM work environments. Learn about intergenerational communication, maintaining health in your personal and work life, and cultivating your authenticity as a professional.

I took the WiSE 201 course in my first semester which not only helped me network with others who shared the same goals as me but also helped shape me into the leader I am today!
