Can students graduating in December receive a scholarship?

Yes! Students who are graduating in December may still be eligible to receive a scholarship. The entire amount of the scholarship will be awarded in the fall semester. 

How often can I apply for a WiSE Scholarship?

Students are able to apply for scholarships each year, as long as they are enrolled in a STEM major at Iowa State and meet the scholarship criteria.

If I receive a scholarship, should I write a thank you letter?

Thank you letters are required for certain scholarships administered through WiSE. If you are awarded a scholarship, you will receive specific instructions on addressing your letter as well as suggestions for writing thank you letters. For the WiSE scholarships that do not require letter of appreciation. We encourage students to "pay it forward" by being volunteering with WiSE events or in the community.
